About the Authors

Parviz F. Rad, PhD, PE, CCE, PMP, is an independent project management consultant. He holds an MSc from Ohio State University and a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has over 35 years of professional experience, during which he has served in governmental, industrial, and academic capacities. He has participated in project management activities and in the development and enhancement of quantitative tools in project management in a multitude of disciplines, including software development, construction, and pharmaceutical research. He has authored and coauthored more than 60 publications in the areas of engineering and project management. Dr. Rad is the former Editor of the Project Management Journal.

Ginger Levin, DPA, is a senior consultant in project management with more than 30 years of experience. She is also an adjunct professor for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in its Master of Science in Project Management program and serves as the university’s program specialist in project management. Dr. Levin received her doctorate in public administration and information systems technology from The George Washington University (GWU), where she received the outstanding dissertation award for her research on large organizations. She also has an MSA, with a concentration in information systems technology, from GWU and a BBA from Wake Forest University.

Dr. Rad and Dr. Levin are also the authors of The Advanced Project Management Office and Achieving Project Management Success Using Virtual Teams.
