What are Japanese middle school uniforms like? 日本中学生的校服是什么样子的?

1 If you ask Japanese middle school students about fashion at school, most would say uniforms are in fashion. They wear their uniforms even at parties or going shopping.

2 In Japan, almost all middle schools require students to wear uniforms to school.

3 In middle school, girls wear a two-piece sailor uniform, containing a blouse and a skirt. They usually wear medium long skirts. Some of the teenage girls wear their skirts as short as they can to get a way to show their personality more. In winter, students wear uniforms made of wool.

4 In Japan, bobby socks are very popular with girls. They call the uniform “Sei Fuku” which means “sailor clothes” in Japan. In some middle schools, students wear name tags including information such as their grade, full name, etc.

5 Boys' uniforms are simpler than girls'. Most boys wear military jacket and caps. Most of boys' uniforms are borrowed from Russian army dress. They are usually black, grey or dark blue and make students clean and smart.

6 In other middle schools, boys wear English sailor suits and Persian cadet uniforms. The boys also might have worn a pair of dark colored pants with a light color shirt, In the cold weather the boys would sometimes wear a jacket, in most cases, the boys will wear Britain looking blazers. The boys' uniforms aren't as popular as the girls' in Japan, so they cost less.
