《楚俏》

Chu Qiao

民族室内乐作品《楚俏》创作于2014年。古之楚国，以湖南、湖北为中心，另辖河南、安徽、四川、江西、江苏、浙江等省的部分地区。楚人灵秀，好细腰，善舞。作品将古楚国地域的诸多民间音乐素材进行变型和融合，使用虚实相间的多变音响，试图刻画出想象中古楚国的秀美以及楚人细腰舞的俏丽与婀娜。该作品在2014年“第十八届全国音乐作品（民乐）评奖”中获得独奏、重奏及其他组合作品组二等奖。

Today, Hunan and Hubei provinces occupy the area that was once the center of ancient Chu, whose area included adjacent parts of the modern-day provinces of Henan, Anhui, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. The people of ancient Chu were beautiful, clever, and loved dancing; slim-waists were favored. Chu Qiao attempts to portray the beauty of ancient Chu, and capture the elegance and grace of its slim-waisted dancers. It does this by using rapidly changing actual and virtual aural constructions, and by modifying and integrating various folk music elements from the above named regions.
