6.3 Piping Layout for Oxygen Service

6.3.1 The piping for oxygen service should be overhead routed,and installed on supports fabricated by non-flammable materials.

6.3.2 The piping for oxygen service shall be weld joined,however,flanged or threaded joint may be used when the piping is connected to equipment or valves.

6.3.3 Electrostatic earthing shall be provided for the piping for oxygen service in an interval of every 80m-100m and at the location where the piping for oxygen service is routed to/from building.

6.3.4 Elbow or tee in the piping for oxygen service shall not be directly connected to valve outlet,and a straight pipe run with length not less than 5 times the outside diameter of pipe and not less than 1.5m should be provided on valve outlet side.

6.3.5 Reduced flange shall not be used in the piping for oxygen service.
