6.5 Piping Layout for Cryogenic Fluid Service

6.5.1 The piping for cryogenic fluid service shall be routed for the shortest practical run with minimum number of elbows to minimize liquid pocket,provided that the requirements for piping flexibility are met.

6.5.2 The piping for cryogenic fluid service shall be routed to achieve natural compensation.

6.5.3 The spacing between piping for cryogenic fluid service shall be determined based on the thickness of insulated flanges,valves and measuring element and the lateral movement of piping.

6.5.4 The pipe flange for cryogenic fluid service should not be welded directly to an elbow or a tee.
