10.7　Ash Handling System for CFB Boiler

10.7.1　The bottom ash handling system for CFB boilers should be a mechanical conveying system.If only a small amount of bottom ash will be produced，a pneumatic conveying system may be used if justified through techno-economic comparison.The system capacity should not be less than 250% of the bottom ash discharge of boilers when burning design coal under BRL condition and should not be less than 200% of the bottom ash discharge of boilers when burning check coal under BRL condition.Hydraulic conveying systems should not be used.

10.7.2　The fabric bags arranged at the top of the bottom ash silo of the bottom ash handling system for CFB boilers should be made of filtering materials resistant to high temperature.If a mechanical conveying system is used，the filters at the top of the bottom ash silo should be provided with exhaust fans.

10.7.3　When a pneumatic conveying system is used for fly ash from CFB boilers，the system capacity shall be determined as per provisions regarding pneumatic fly ash handling systems given in 10.4 of this code.
