2　Terms

2.0.1　Microducts

Microducts are small（maximum outside diameter no greater than 16.0 mm），lightweight and flexible plastic pipes.

2.0.2　Microduct bundle

Microduct bundleisa certain number of microducts bundled together.

2.0.3　Microduct cable

Microduct cable consists of bundled microducts with outer protective sheath（e.g.moisture proof layer）.

2.0.4　Microduct cable to be installed by air-blowing

Microduct cable to be installed by air-blowing isreferred to the cable satisfying all the three conditions as follows:

1　Must be suitable to be laid in microduct by air-blowing method；

2　Its dimension must be small enough，with diameter ranging from 3.0mm to 10.5mm；

3　The outer diameter of microduct suitable to air-blowing installation ranges from 7.0mm to 16.0mm.

2.0.5　Microduct cable joint enclosure

Microduct cable joint enclosure is referred to the joint where two or more microduct cables are connected under proper protection.
