4　Heat Treating Furnace

4.1　General Stipulations

4.1.1　This chapter applies to heat treating furnace design of heat treatment production line for cold rolled wide strip，silicon steel strip，stainless steel，strip continuous galvanizing & tinning and seamless steel pipe and so on，excluding the heat treatment process design.

4.1.2　Heat treating furnace should be equipped with the necessary instrument and automatic control devices.The scope of computer application should be gradually expanded in heat treatment furnace.

4.1.3　Tightness of gas-fired heat treating furnace lining should be strengthened，and corresponding combustion devices should be choosen to coordinate heat treatment process；automatic ignition and flame monitoring device should be equipped for combustion devices.

4.1.4　Ceramic fiber product and various lightweight refractory material shall be adopted for lining material；furnace wall outside surface temperature should be in accordance with the relevant provisions in current national standard GB/T 16618 The general principles for thermal insulation technique of industrial furnaces.
