Configuring/editing software iSCSI initiator settings

Different software iSCSI initiator settings can be changed.

You can modify them using the vSphere Web Client by selecting an ESXi host and the Configure tab. Select the iSCSI Software Adapter in the Storage Adapters menu:

In the General properties, you can change the iSCSI name or the iSCSI alias.

If you change the name of an iSCSI adapter, it will only be used for new sessions, and existing sessions aren't altered.

In the Authentication properties, you can configure CHAP settings (see the Enabling/configuring/disabling iSCSI CHAP section).

In the Targets tab, you can only add new targets. To make changes, remove the existing target and re-add it.

In the Advanced Options tab, you can change some settings, such as ARP Redirect or Delayed ACK, that specific storage can require.
