Presentation layer protocols

The presentation layer (Layer 6) receives data from the application layer and represents it in the format accepted by the subsequent layer. So, in this layer, formats like graphics files, text and data, and sound and video get the meaning. Another important element of this layer is the encryption of data, so it is natural that this layer uses protocols for adding security to data transmission.
