Joining the domain

Before joining the domain, take into consideration the notes explained earlier in the Desktop Experience - Joining the domain section. To join the domain, as in Figure 3.32, complete the following steps:

1. Enter 1 as a selected option and press Enter.
2. To join your server to your organization's domain, enter D and press Enter.
3. Enter your organization's domain and press Enter.

1. Enter the authorized domain user and press Enter.
2. Enter the password and press Enter.
3. In the Change Computer Name dialog box, click No when asked to change the name of your server:
