Axis scaling

Axis scaling can be best represented through three dimensions of a cube; X-Axis, Y-Axis, and Z-Axis. Each of those dimensions describes a type of scaling:

  • X-Axis: Horizontal duplication
  • Y-Axis: Functional decomposition
  • Z-Axis: Data partitioning
