In the last chapter, we explained how Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 is well designed to suit different advanced technologies such as cloud technology, multitenancy, multi-environment installation, multi-client feature, and many more. We also discussed how we can use the PowerShell tool for different kinds of operations, and to increase the efficiency of Dynamics NAV Professionals. Here, in this chapter, you will learn about the latest features that have been added to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 to make it more dependable and to reduce customization. We will also discuss their significance and effects on the overall system. We will discuss the workflow of these modifications, as well as try to understand the benefits of implementing these workflows.

The chapter requires some hands-on experience with the previous version, as I will be directly relating some of the features of its shortcomings. There will not be much explanation of things that are not modified to keep our focus on the scope of this chapter.

At the end of this chapter, we will understand the overall benefits of the new features and configurations, and find out the best possible way to harvest all these changes in the system. The main intention is to educate the reader about the reason and effects of implementing new features in the NAV system.
