2　Environment and Safety of Equipment Room

2.0.1　Prior to the installation of power supply facilities，the structure and decoration of equipment room shall be finished and checked，meeting the requirements of power engineering design.Water leakage or seepage must not be allowed for roofing，interior walls and flooring.

2.0.2　The flooring of equipment room shall be smooth and flat，and the horizontal deviation shall not be greater than 2mm per meter.The locations and specifications of underground trough，reserved hole，embedded steel pipe and bolt shall meet the requirements for the facilities installation.The cover plate of trough shall be tight and solid，and water seepage must not be allowed in the trough.

2.0.3　Facilities for heating，ventilating，and air conditioning（HVAC）of the equipment room shall be in good condition.Indoor temperature and humidity shall meet the operating requirements of the facilities.

2.0.4　Public power supply shall be available in the equipment room，and the lighting system shall be in good condition for use.

2.0.5　The arrangement of the generator set room，installation of the internal facilities，as well as the sound insulation and shock absorption measures shall meet the requirements of engineering design.

2.0.6　Power room，battery bank room and generator set room shall meet the relevant requirements of Design Code for Fire Protection of Posts and Communications Building YD 5002.

2.0.7　Effective fire-fighting and extinguishing equipment shall be provided and automatic fire alarm system must be set up in the equipment room.

2.0.8　As for the telecommunication bureaus（stations）in the flood-intensive areas，the power supply facilities shall be installed in the equipment room located above the local flood alarming line or other flood prevention measures shall be taken.

2.0.9　Decoration materials used in the equipment room shall be made of non-fire spreading materials，and sealing materials for hole and trough cover plate shall be made of non-fire spreading materials.

2.0.10　Inflammable and explosive articles must be strictly forbidden in the equipment room.
