【英文】The death penalty shall not be imposed on any person on the basis of consensual sexual activity among persons who are over the age of consent or on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

【译文】不应对超过合法年龄的人因两相情愿的性行为或由于性倾向或性别认同而处以死刑。

【解释】age of consent 意为“性行为法定年龄”（即法定的同意发生性行为的年龄，如结婚或非婚性行为。）。类似的还有age of majority以及age of reason。前者可译为“法定年龄”（具有签订合同、选举等公民权利），后者可译为“行为辨别年龄”（具有辨别是非、因而在法律上侵权的能力）。
