底特律郊区新近落成巴洛奈特文艺复兴酒店，翻新后的酒店公共空间——复兴休息室，以及圣人餐饮集团最新的餐饮场地设计——橡木炭烧，两大空间即出自戴爱斯设计工作室。

复兴休息室

本案空间由圣人餐饮集团管理，戴爱斯对复兴休息室的设计是文艺复兴这个品牌引领新生活时尚的重要体现。设计师把酒店公共空间改建为新的复兴休息室，呈现出现代湖畔居的感觉，灵感源于美国20世纪的现代主义。雄伟的大厅中心区有壁炉地板和独特的玻璃雕塑。不同的区域由建筑的中心向外延伸，满足个人和团体的工作、休闲等多种需求。玻璃材质晶莹光洁，从别种角度诠释着石材的冷静，营造出层叠而反光的墙面。所有的材质忠实呈现出其性质，钢铁、玻璃和木材交相辉映，对现代主义的传统重新定义。

空间两边开窗，尽显通透。派格·鲍威尔设计的艺术，令空间动感十足，强烈的创意能量原本就是底特律历史身份的象征。如今的汽车城，一路走来，颇为不易。那些被挑选出来的艺术家表明了有时候最杰出的艺术作品恰恰是诞生于最艰难的时期。

橡木炭烧

圣人餐饮集团委托戴爱斯设计工作室为橡木炭烧开发餐饮新理念。设计师的理念是把橡木炭烧打造成一个熟悉亲切的餐饮场所。它好像一直以来就在那儿似的，有一种邻家阿姨开的“夫妻店”的感觉，和附近地区十分协调。设计师的灵感源于纽约本地的美食场所，如巴尼·格林格拉斯餐馆和艾利餐馆，以最优质的食品和最专业的团队扬名天下。餐厅设计精致，有乡村特色，有葡萄酒零售市场和高级餐厅，无论在温馨舒适的室内空间还是开阔的室外空间，总有令客人大快朵颐的天地。

本案坐落在密歇根州诺维，附近有底特律首屈一指的购物场所——十二橡树广场和喷泉步行商店，餐饮和娱乐中心应有尽有，地理位置便利，商业条件优越。

David Ashen of D-ash Design has completed two new projects at the new Baronette Renaissance Hotel in the Detroit suburb of Novi, MI: the renovation of the hotel's new public spaces, creating the new Renaissance Lounge, and the design of Sage Restaurant Group's newest venue, Toasted Oak Grill & Market.

The Renaissance Lounge

Managed by Sage Hospitality, the Baronette Renaissance Hotel lounge designed by D-ash Design is the leading representation of the Renaissance brand's new lifestyle directive.

Taking on the feel of a modern day lake retreat, Ashen's transformation of the public spaces of the hotel into the new Renaissance Lounge is inspired by American 20th century modernism. The hearth - an exceptional glass sculpture cast out of glass - is the focal area of the grand lobby. Different areas for gathering radiate from the structure and create a number of opportunities for small groups or for individuals to work and reflect. Stone was reinterpreted as glass, creating a cascading and reflective wall. All materials are expressed true to their nature - steel, glass, wood working harmoniously together with the aim of redefining modernists' traditions.

Windows line either side of the lounge while the art, created by Paige Powell, adds dynamism to the space by featuring the strong creative energy that has emerged from the Detroit area during this not so bright time in this region's history. The artists chosen demonstrate that sometimes the most interesting artistic expressions emerge from the most difficult times.

The Toasted Oak Grill & Market

Sage Restaurant Group commissioned D-ash Design to develop the concept for their new restaurant - the Toasted Oak Grill & Market. Ashen's vision for The Toasted Oak Market was to create a space that felt as if it had always been there, with a "mom and pop" feel that is appropriate for the neighborhood. He found inspiration from local NYC gourmet markets such as Barney Greengrass and Eli's that have the best quality food and the most knowledgeable staff. Sophisticated and rustic in design, the project includes both a retail wine market and fine dining restaurant, which offers American brasserie cuisine in an inviting and cozy indoor space and sizable outdoor courtyard.

Located in Novi, Michigan, the Baronette Renaissance Hotel and the Toasted Oak Grill & Market are situated close to one of Detroit's premier shopping destinations, the Twelve Oaks Mall and nearby the Fountain Walk shops, dining and entertainment complex. The restaurant is ideally located in superior commercial conditions.
