本案位于一高地之上，俯瞰高尔夫场地，挡土墙自然围护，无边际泳池碧水汪汪，沿着高尔夫球道望下去是远处的一片大海。花园如梯田，三阶分立；草坪如玉带，缠绕在房子四周；户外用餐区位于草坪之下的那一层，只有几步的距离；泳池所在的那一层伸出，融入景观之中。山野青翠，布局时充分考虑，因此各主房间里都设置了大面积的玻璃墙，把室内空间打造成一个青青世界。

住宅的中心是一个两层的建筑量体，屋顶上天窗洞开，满足中心区采光需要，也是所有主空间除了室外以外的另一个光源，使室内外空间的交流无论在平面上还是三维上都得到了提升。这里空气清新，视野独好，空间与周围景观之间的联系得到加强。为了突显门窗的尺寸之大，这里的门窗都应用了青铜包裹的红木材质。另外，窗框因为青铜的包裹，无需多加维护，便能耐得住南加州的炙热阳光。雨屏外的Phonelic树脂木镶板经久耐用，便于维护，以增强对环境的耐热性能。更有光伏电池板藏于屋顶，彰显环保低碳的生活方式。

This house sits on a site overlooking a golf course. Retaining walls and an infinite edge swimming pool were located to increase the views down the fairway towards the ocean in the distance. The garden is terraced into three levels: a flat lawn immediately adjacent to the house, an outdoor eating and dining pavilion on a level just a few steps below the lawn, and the swimming pool level that juts out into the view. The plan is designed to take advantage of the dramatic verdant views and as such all the principle rooms have expansive walls of glass.

At the heart of the house is a two level volume capped by a sky light, which brings light into the center. All the major spaces receive light from both the exterior and from this skylight, fostering a relationship with the outdoors in both the horizontal and vertical directions. The result is spaces that are fresh and airy with a heightened connection to the breathtaking views beyond. To achieve the large door and window size, mahogany clad in bronze was used for the exterior door and window system. In addition, the bronze cladding offers a maintenance free window frame that can stand up to the harsh penetrating Southern Californian sunlight. Phonelic resin wood paneling on the exterior is installed on a rain screen, again to help with maintenance and to increase thermal stability. Photovoltaic panels are hidden on the roof surfaces, which highlights the environmental protection and low carbon life style.
