5.10　Steam Turbine Piping

5.10.1　Piping layout for steam turbine shall be designed with consideration of the piping layout of related equipment.

5.10.2　Layout of suction and discharge piping for steam turbine shall be determiend by flexibility calculation，forces and moments imposed on steam turbine nozzles shall comply with the manufacturer's requirements or NEMA SM23.

5.10.3　Root shutoff valves in suction piping of steam turbine should be located close to steam header.

5.10.4　Condensate drainage devices shall be provided for suction piping of steam turbine to prevent condensate from flowing into steam turbine and causing damage to the impellers during startup.

5.10.5　The check valves in exhaust piping of back pressure steam turbine shall be located close to the discharge nozzle of steam turbine.
