Chapter 1 Development of China Cybersecurity Classified Protection System

This chapter introduces the development of China’s Cybersecurity Classified Protection System (CCPS). CCPS evolves from the initial Computer Information System Security Protection System established in the early 1990s to the Information Security Classified Protection System^[1], and finally to its current state in mid-2010s, and mandated in China’s Cybersecurity Law in 2018.
