6.8 Frequency Allocation and Scrambling Code Planning

6.8.1 WCDMA operating bands shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1 1920MHz-1980MHz:Uplink(UE transmitting,Node B receiving);

2 2110MHz-2170MHz:Downlink(Node B transmitting,Node B receiving).

6.8.2 Frequency channel arrangement shall comply with regulations stipulated in UTRA Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Numbe(rUARFCN).

6.8.3 Frequency channel arrangements shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1 Channel spacing shall be 5MHz,adjustable to optimize performance under special circumstances;

2 The frequency raster shall be 200kHz,or the central operating frequency is an integral of 200kHz.

6.8.4 Scrambling code planning shall be in accordance with the following requirements:

1 The scrambling code shall be reasonably planned in accordance with cell distribution and radio environments;

2 The scrambling code is divided into 512 sets,which have one primary scrambling code and 15 secondary scrambling codes per set.Overlapped cells shall not share the same scrambling code set;

3 The allocation of scrambling code shall be by the size of the coverage area with incorporated consideration of reuse distance of the primary code by regional characteristics;

4 To avoid conflicts of scrambling code planning at the provincial border and indoor and outdoor coverage,certain degree of scrambling code resources shall be reserved at provincial BSs and indoor and outdoor deployment sites;

5 The scrambling code sets shall be designed with reservation for network coordination and expansion.
